Hannity: ‘Rogue’ Mueller ‘Declared War Against Trump’ With Cohen Raid

In his Opening Monologue, Sean Hannity said Special Counsel Robert Mueller “declared war” on President Donald Trump and is leading a now-“rogue” investigation.

Hannity said that since Mueller was appointed, “not a whiff” of Russian collusion has been found, leading Mueller “and his merry band of deep-state Trump-hating sycophants” to take their investigation “off the rails.”

“Robert Mueller has now officially gone rogue and declared war against the president,” Hannity said, pointing to the raids on Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s office and home.

Hannity said the Soviet concept of “show me the man, I’ll find you the crime” may be applicable to the Mueller case, making it “wholly anti-American.”

He pointed to a previous case in which Mueller was involved. During the criminal investigation of mobster James “Whitey” Bulger, Hannity said four innocent people went to jail, and two died before being exonerated.

Hannity said that Mueller’s “pitbull” – attorney Andrew Weissmann – cost more than 10,000 people their jobs at Arthur Anderson Accounting during a botched legal case.

He called the Mueller probe an “unprecedented abuse of power” and demanded that Attorney General Jeff Sessions step in.

Hannity noted that longtime Sessions friend Mark Levin, host of “Life, Liberty & Levin” and “The Mark Levin Show” said on the radio the former Alabama senator should step down.

“This will destroy a 30-year friendship,” Levin said. “It’s time for the attorney general to step aside.”

Hannity added that a “two-tiered justice system” exists in which Trump is heavily investigated while scant evidence of criminal activity exists, while Hillary Clinton still walks free despite the email scandal.

Dershowitz: Mueller ‘Laundering Information to Another Prosecutorial Authority’

Alan Dershowitz joined “Hannity” to discuss what he said was a pre-arranged meeting with President Trump and White House officials.

Dershowitz said that he believes Trump will not fire anyone connected to the Mueller probe.

However, he did comment on the fact Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s properties were raided by federal agents.

Geoffrey Berman, the new U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, had approved the raid, which also needed clearance from a judge.

Dershowitz said Robert Mueller likely knows he does not have the authority to call such a raid based on the parameters of the Russia investigation.

But, he said the U.S. Attorney’s Office does.

“It seems like a subterfuge by which Mueller doesn’t have the authority [so he] gives it to somebody else,” Dershowitz said.

He said Mueller’s team appears to be “laundering information to another prosecutorial authority” – in this case, Berman’s office.

Dershowitz said Mueller is “trying to have it both ways.”

He said that Mueller is not formally investigating Cohen’s relationship with Trump, but that the Southern District of New York would not have received any information for a possible case were it not for Mueller’s initial inquiries.
