Ingraham Rips Trump Critics on Trade: ‘How Many of Those Guys Won Ohio?’
Laura Ingraham said Americans elected President Trump because he was not the average Republican politician in Washington.
Ingraham said that Trump’s platform on trade should be given full consideration instead of continuing with more of the same.
She called his Pennsylvania rally with State Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny) “awesome” and added that those critical of the event missed the real message.
Ingraham said Trump is the first president since Ronald Reagan who is able to fill stadiums at his rallies, because his platform resonates with middle America.
Prominent Republicans have been critical of Trump on the trade and tariff plan, including Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) who said it injects “uncertainty” into the economy.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said it could “cost more jobs” and Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) said “trade wars don’t end well.”
“How many of those guys won Ohio?” she said, noting that Americans in places like that are gravitating toward Trump because of his fresh ideas on the topic.
