Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Monday that law enforcement will find the suspect or suspects wanted in connection with four package bombs that have afflicted the Lone Star capital.

As Casey Stegall reported, the latest bomb detonated Sunday evening after bicyclists crossed a tripwire the “size of fishing line.”

Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said the city is indeed dealing with a “serial bomber.”

Abbott said there are “so many resources” spread throughout Austin and Texas proper – including more than 500 federal agents.

“We are going to find this bomber and we are going to find this bomber soon,” he said.

He warned that if residents do not know what a package or item contains, do not pick it up.

He also discussed how there are some parallels between this case and that of the “D.C. sniper” case.

In 2002, ten people were killed and several wounded in apparently random shootings of motorists on Interstate 495 – the Capitol Beltway around Washington, D.C.

John Allen Muhammad was later put to death after being convicted of the murders. His accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, is serving life at Red Onion State Prison in Pound, Va.
